BIO - Kimberly Billyard
The Department of Access Services at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) has been Kim’s professional home for over ten years. Her degrees include a Master of Science in Human Resource Development as well as a Bachelor of Science and an Associates in American Sign Language-English Interpreting, all from RIT. As a staff interpreter, she has been active in biomechanics evaluation and training, mentoring, and preparation strategies. She has designed, taught, and co-taught several workshops in these areas and mentored numerous times. She also has extensive knowledge working with people who have developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
